Ideas explored included: how memory can play tricks so that our thought processes become ‘fragments’ or how sometimes one can remember a first line of a poem but no more; how messages can be fragmented when letters are hidden or disguised; explorations of veiled spaces, where there is insufficient information for the viewer to decipher the scene in full; the depiction of nature’s fragments or the mosaic appeal of broken china, where the memory of the original pieces are reassembled to create something new.
