As a textile artist based in North London my work is often influenced by the diversity of both the built and natural environment. I am drawn to the tactile qualities and versatility of textiles which allow me to explore their use in an experimental way. I enjoy combining traditional techniques of hand and

machine embroidery with modern developments.

 

Although to date my work has been predominantly either rather literal or driven by experimentation with materials I now aim to combine these approaches. I am excited by the opportunity to share ideas and develop my work enabled by being a member of Phase2.
